Baby Update

We went to the doctor today for our 39 week appointment.  The doctor checked me and nothing has changed, however we have news. BIG NEWS.

We're having a baby on Thursday!

Hannah is running out of room so the doctor suggested we go ahead an induce.  I really wanted Hannah to come on her own, but I'm BEYOND thrilled that she'll be here on Thursday!  Ryan's pretty excited that after Thursday, he gets his REAL wife back, instead of dealing with the crazy one he's been living with the past few months!  Bless his heart.  I definately picked a good one! :-)

Naturally, my control & clean freak-self is going CRAZY!!  Seriously, I am currently taking a break from organizing our pantry.  I know that once we get home from the hospital we're going to have all kinds of people at the house (which I'm fine with), I just also know that I'll want my house to be completely clean while people are here and I know I won't feel like doing it when I'm healing and trying to learn about this new little girl!  I'm glad I actually enjoy cleaning! I'm a clean freak.  I can't help it.

So, any last minute advice for Ryan and me?

Our hospital bag is packed & sitting by the door. Ryan doesn't miss a call from me. Everyone is on high alert. I can have Hannah without making any family members jealous (my cousin had her baby today!!).  We're just waiting for Hannah to decide to make her grand entrance!!!

Any last minute advice?

A Day of Birthdays!

Today, is Ryan's 22nd birthday! Happy Birthday Darlin! I love you so much!! I hope you enjoy your last birthday before you officially become a Daddy!

Not only is it Ryan's birthday, but my cousin, Kelly, is being induced today! Ryan and I can't wait to meet Maggie next week when everyone gets home from the hospital and are settled! Please say a prayer for Brent, Kelly, Maggie, the families, and the medical staff today!

37 weeks... And so the waiting game begins!

"I can't eat, I can't sleep, but I can do a great impression of a beached whale"

Yesterday, I was exactly 37 weeks along.  Hannah is "allowed" to come any time now! Words can't express how happy I am about that!  Ryan and I can't wait to meet our little girl!  We're also enjoying the little time we have left where it's just the 2 of us.  We spend less time watching tv & more time just talking and doing things together.  We go on dates atleast once a week.  Last Friday night we went to Buy Buy Baby and got a book and a belly casting kit.  We're trying to find time to do the cast, but with Ryan's crazy work schedule & us trying to get our house in order and get all our pre-Hannah projects done, it's been hard!  We also went to Build-A-Bear and built Hannah a bear!

Meet Banana.

In other news, I'm in the process of packing our hospital bag.  By "packing", I mean that I have little piles of things everywhere in our house.  In Hannah's room. In the den. In our bedroom. It's stressing me out like you wouldn't believe.  Since I've gotten to the stage in my pregnancy where I can't do much without having to sit down & rest, I've lightened up on my "neat freak-ness" A LITTLE.  But only because I don't have much of a choice.  Where it used to take me a day to really clean the house, it now takes most of the week.  Because it takes so much longer for messes to get cleaned up in our house, I'm more impatient about things just being left laying around the house - so my piles of things to go to the hospital are beyond annoying.  My grandma is coming into town to play Bunco tomorrow and is staying with us, which gives me even more of a reason to get my house back in order & get those little piles dealt with!

Our "To Do Before Baby" list is getting smaller & smaller!  We just have a few things left! We still have to:
  1. Pack Hospital Bag
  2. Deep Clean House - Thank you nesting instinct.
  3. Get Rocking Chair from Ryan's grandma
  4. Fix drawer in nursery
  5. Get extra base for carseat
  6. Install carseat base - We haven't looked at the base once since we got our travel system.  We were too excited about all the other stuff!  Hopefully it's not too hard to install!
  7. Clean out Ryan's truck
I also have a whole list (and so does Ryan) of things that we want done in the house (and outside in Ryan's case) before she comes, but it's not a big deal if we don't have them done.

Random question -
I bought 2 hanging ferns for our front porch the other day.  I, for some reason, thought we had hooks already on our porch on which to hang said ferns.  We do not.  What do I need to get? Are they hard to find? Where do I get them?  These poor ferns are currently sitting on my porch "floor".

More random -
I'e had this song stuck in my head for 2 days. Thought I'd share it with everyone.  Enjoy!

BABY SHOWERS!!!

We had 2 showers this past weekend! Our little family is so blessed to have so many friends and family that care about us and are just as excited about Hannah making her appearance as we are!

Our shower on Saturday was a "Couples Shower" hosted by two of my girlfriends.  Ryan, unfortunately, had to move a house the morning of so he was a little late, but he was there for the important parts!  All of us had a great time celebrating Hannah! Here are some pictures...

OUR CAKE!!!

Please ignore the beverage I was holding for Ryan!

Daddy is a wonderful hanger!!!

Coral(my 5-year old cousin) has a matching outfit.  We can't wait to get pictures of the 2 of them!

Baby food the boys had to taste test!

Ryan didn't have as many funny reaction faces as some of the other guys.  I'm thinking that's a pretty good thing!

The shower we had on Sunday was given by Mrs. Melinda(Ryan's mom) at their lake house.  It was so nice to see everyone from his side of the family & friends!  We got so many diapers & wipes!  I'm SO thankful!!!!  Here are a few pictures...

Please overlook my shoe selection.  They were the only ones in my closet that matched that I could stand to have on my feet!!

This item has been a constant discussion in our house.  I think it's a wonderful thing - Ryan doesn't trust them.  Now that we have one, he's decided he'll "give it a try", but with pillows and sofa cusions under it in case she falls...  Love that man.

I absolutely love this dress from Ryan's Aunt Denise!  I can't wait for Hannah to be big enough to wear it!

The onsie says "Don't I look cute in this?"  I've told Ryan she's wearing it everyday.

I'm posting this picture because when I saw it, I laughed.  I seem VERY excited about nursing pads...  :)

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful gifts!  I'm STILL trying to organize them!  I'm working on all the "Thank You" cards and you'll have them soon!  Ryan and I feel so blessed to have the people we have in our lives and we're so excited to share this chapter of our lives with all of you!

Hospital Bag

Since tomorrow I'll be 36 weeks, Ryan & I figured it would be about time to start packing for the hospital! I've been looking at different websites and what they say we should take, but I'd really love to get some opinions from people who've done this before!

What should we pack for me, Ryan, and Hannah?
