Go ahead, I dare you.

...ask me what I've done today.  Prepare to be blown away. (No, seriously)

Let me start by telling my "viewing public" that Ryan can't stand to be awake by himself.  When he wakes up on the average weekend morning, he rolls over to me, put his hand on "The Budda" and proceeds to START A CONVERSATION (with me or the baby, I don't think he cares).  This wouldn't bug me so much if his body wasn't programmed to wake up at 6:30 AM(Trust me, this is sleeping in for him.  I know, how sad.)  My body, however - pregnant or not - can sleep well past 6:30.  I'll reply to whatever he says sleepily and eventually he gives up and gets up and goes into the den to play World of Warcraft and "watch" TV.  Today was absolutely no different.  I finally woke up about 8:30 and told Ryan that Hannah wanted him to take us to breakfast.  Once he agreed to take us to Hardee's, I told him I really needed to go to Lowes today to measure our chair molding and see if I could find some different paint for the baby's room. Surprisingly, he still agreed to go so off we went.  We got home in less than an hour and 2 different paint colors later.  I'm a much happier girl now. :)

For whatever reason,  for the past week and a half I've been a crazy person about cleaning and organizing(My mom says I'm nesting.. Isn't it too early for that?).  I vacuum almost every day. I hate my vacuum more and more every time I use it.  Thursday & Friday of this week were the exception to my newfound "rule" so today after we got home from Lowes I literally couldn't stand it one more second.  I had to make up for my lack of cleaning & organizing (Thursday I rolled change literally ALL day.  Apparently, it takes all day to roll $200 in change.  Friday I was out and about with my mom.  Oh how I love Fridays!) so I immediately got to work. I vacuumed the den, cleaned our bedroom, did laundry, paid bills, swept the foyer & bathroom, worked in our "office" and went crazy with a can of Pledge.  I also finished a book I bought yesterday.  Now, like any other pregnant woman ever, I got a little tired so I laid down on our bed wanting to rest my back..and woke up an hour and a half later.  I don't even feel bad, dang it, I worked hard for my unintentional nap!  I, also, will be getting in bed promptly after eating my dinner - which Ryan is currently cooking. Don't judge, we eat crazy late around here.

Now, ask me what my husband has done all day.  Since we got home from Lowes, he's been on our couch playing World of Warcraft.  Now, before I get all of you jumping down my throat, I completely understand that he works very hard all week to provide for me and our baby and that I appreciate it more than I can possibly put into words.  I also understand that he deserves to relax on the weekends, but REALLY?  World of Warcraft cannot be that interesting and you can't possibly convince me otherwise.

So, on a completely different note, we're painting the nursery next weekend!  My cousin is coming down from Spartanburg on Friday and Lindsey is coming home for Spring Break.  Hopefully, by our first baby shower (March 12th) we'll have the nursery all complete - with the exception of bedding and other little things I've registered for. I'm so excited!!!!

UPDATE - Ryan cooked dinner, made brownies, loaded the dishwasher and cleaned up the dinner mess.  I ragged on him earlier so I felt the need to brag on him a little!!!

26 Weeks

I know I just posted one of these 2 weeks ago, but a lot has changed so here it is...

How far along?  26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? I've gained 9 pounds
Maternity clothes?  Since we've had lots of nice weather so I've been able to wear a lot of dresses(which I'd rather wear anyway!).  I can wear a lot of my own non-maternity shorts(I'm pretty confident this won't be able to happen much longer!)
Stretch marks? None, still! I'm still really proud.
Sleep? I'm sleeping fine(and am able to take fewer naps!!!), but I wake up atleast 3 times a night!
Best moment last week? There are 2 major ones: first, I finished cleaning out Hannah's nursery. Second, Ryan and I felt Hannah's head (as she was pushing it into my side...)
Movement? She moves a lot, which I love!
Food cravings?  I don't crave anything really..
Gender? Girl
Labor signs? None, just a lot of pressure that makes it uncomfortable to walk, stand, sit, lay, etc....
Belly button in/out? Completely flat.  I offically don't have a belly button!
What I miss: It's starting to really hit me that Ryan and I's time as just "us" is coming to a close pretty fast.  While I've known this for a long time, and it seems like it should just be understood, it's really hitting me.  I love nights when it's just the two of us (But I know I'll love nights when it's just the 3 of us too!)
What I am looking forward to: Meeting this active little girl!! And getting her nursery painted on March 4th & 5th!!!
Milestones:  She's viable & I passed the Glucose Tolerance Test!

Nursery v. 2.0

This is what Hannah's nursery used to look like. This is what it looks like now...

Obviously it's not COMPLETELY done, but the boxes & nighttable are too heavy for me to move so Ryan will have to move those before we paint.  Lindsey & my cousin Stephanie have volunteered to help paint so we get to paint while Lindsey is on her Spring Break in early March.  I cannot tell you how excited I am about getting started on Hannah's nursery!!

This past weekend, Ryan and I went to Charleston to help my mom with the CCA State Convention.  We were very busy, but it was nice to get out of town for the weekend.  Some family came to the convention along with us.  Coral (my 5 year old cousin) was there.  She kept bringing me shells from outside.  I ended up with two, which she told to put on my belly and told me it was a "Mommy & Hannah" shell.  I love her. Anyway, I took a picture and so here it is...

Question & Answer

How far along?  23 weeks & 3 days
Total weight gain/loss? I fluctuate between what I was when I got pregnant & gaining 5 pounds..
Maternity clothes?  I try to wear as many of my clothes as I can, but it's becoming increasingly more difficult! I got a whole bunch of maternity clothes from my cousin the other day.  Thanks Steph!!!
Stretch marks? NO! I'm so proud!  I use Palmer's every single day.
Sleep? It seems that now my body has become so out-of-whack!  I SUPER sleepy during the day & wide awake at night.
Best moment last week? We(I) got a lot done in Hannah's room last week.  It's now to a point where I can't do anymore without help.  I can't move furniture & I have no idea what half the stuff in that room is!
Movement? Hannah moves ALL THE TIME & I love it!  She can't stand for anything to put remote pressure on my belly(the waistband of my maternity pants, seatbelts, etc.) so she pushes against them until I move whatever it is.  She's all about some personal space!!
Food cravings?  All I really "crave" is sour gummy candy. And more food.  It's amazed me how much more I eat now(or don't eat in some cases).
Gender? GIRL!
Labor signs? None that I know of!
Belly button in/out? Well..neither.  My belly button is basically flat right now.
What I miss: Being able to roll over in bed without it being a huge production & being able to get off the couch without assistance
What I am looking forward to: Getting Han-a-han's nursery painted!
Milestones: We go to the doctor on Wednesday for the Glucose Tolerence Test.  Not exactly something I'm looking forward to..
