Let me start off by saying that the girl had absolutely no chance. She was either going to have to like the TV show, Swamp People, or just deal with it on Thursday nights for as long as History has it on.
She turned away from me to watch the show. She's never "watched" TV before. Not intently anyway..until tonight. She's been watching it since it came on. It's freakin' hilarious!!
Like I said, she didn't really have a chance. After everyone left the hospital the night we had her, Ryan and I started to really relax and get settled. We turned on the TV and realized that A - it was Thursday and B - it was time for Swamp People. That's right, ladies & gentlemen, the first TV she was ever exposed to was this guilty pleasure show.
This show is somewhat of a big deal in my family. My uncle even applied for a gator tag after watching the show. It's crazy redneck - I know.
We have created our own little monster :)

Father's Day
Ryan got to celebrate Father's Day for the first time yesterday! He was VERY excited! Hannah & I made him a shirt, we got him a camo Tervis Tumbler(basically all we drink out of at our house!), and Hannah left Ryan little notes around the house thanking him for being a Daddy. They said things like, "Thanks for changing my diapers - even when they're messy" and "Thanks for hanging out with me on Friday nights when I want to be awake and Mommy needs sleep".
After we gave Ryan his gifts, we all got ready and headed to Ryan's parent's lake house to celebrate Father's Day with Ryan's dad. We had a wonderful time! We decided to put Hannah in the water and see how she liked it. This did not go as planned...

Playing Catch Up!
Our world has been turned absolutely upside down, in the best imaginable way!! The past two weeks have been an absolute blast and the biggest learning experience I've ever had. I grumble every time Hannah cries in the middle of the night, but she's completely worth the lack of sleep!
Ryan's work schedule currently has him waking up at 4:30 AM, which doesn't really allow him to help me at night. It's tough, but, like I said, she's more than worth it and I don't mind at all. I try to sleep when she does(and there aren't 400 household chores for me to do!). We're all looking forward to the day when Hannah starts sleeping through the night & Ryan doesn't have to work in Charleston!
Last night was our first night without Ryan at home. He had to stay in Charleston for work. I don't do well when I'm home alone at night so I was a little worried, but I toughed it out. Sadly, Hannah was very fussy and was eating every one and a half - two hours (She usually goes 3). I was up more last night than any night since she was born. It was certainly a learning experience!
Sadly, I was unable to breastfeed and had to pump. We also had to supplement some formula since I wasn't producing enough for her to get what she needed. When we were able to almost fully phase out formula we noticed that she would get very irritable after she would eat. After about a week of consoling her every time she ate, we started noticing that if she only ate formula, she wasn't fussy at all and was a much happier baby. We tried her on all formula for 24 hours and talked to our pediatrician and decided to switch her to formula. I was sad at first, because I'd really wanted to breastfeed. I'd already had a hit in the hospital when Hannah wouldn't latch and we had to turn to pumping, but made it ok in my mind because atleast I could pump and she was still getting breast milk. Now, knowing that my breastmilk(no matter what I ate!) was upsetting her stomach and it was causing her pain was very upsetting to me. Thankfully, the all-formula is working wonders(with the exception of last night) and that makes this whole thing a lot easier to handle.
This past weekend we took Hannah to Spartanburg to meet her Great Great Grandmother & Great Grandmother. Here are some pictures!
